Independent Voters Choose Richard Devlin to Represent Them For State Senate Seat 19
Devlin wins online nomination from the Independent Party of Oregon
DISTRICT 19 —State Senator and candidate for Senate District 19, Richard Devlin announced today that he had won the nomination from the Independent Party of Oregon.
“I have always believed that voters should cast their ballot for the candidate that will best represent their interests, regardless of party affiliation.” said Richard. “During my years in the Legislature, I have remained steadfast in my commitment to the issues that unite us and never lost sight of our priorities: protecting our schools, creating jobs, and safeguarding the services that middle class families and seniors depend on in tough times.
Senate District 19 covers Lake Oswego, Tualatin, West Linn and a portion of SW Portland. Richard currently serves as the district’s state senator and prior to his service in public office he spent much of his time dedicated to community safety, working in both adult and juvenile corrections and civil and criminal investigations. Richard resides in Tualatin with his wife Eliza, they have two grown children and four grandchildren .
